Check this out. We just won the semi-finals of the Sam Ash Rock Competition. We beat out 10 other bands to win a $250 gift certificate and a bunch of other shit. Now we move on to the finals in December. We had a review in Long Island Entertainment magazine last month that ruled. Thanks to Bernadette and Tony for the great write-up. The new website is up. It's different but we're still working on it. We should have a new message board up soon.

Over the past month our guys have been from one side of the world to another. Charlie spent a week in Japan at the begining of the month working with Nine Days. He had jet lag for a month when he got back. We played at the Downtown in Long Island on the 10th and turned some important heads. Islanders should been hearing our names more and more now. The Big Show is coming up next week and we're pumped. We're expecting some big label reps there and hopefully they'll make us rockstars.

We've been busier than hell. We played a string of shows down to Bmore and back which really kicked ass and ended with a spot playing for a packed house with Nine Days in Pt Jeff. We also just got back from a show in Danbury, Ct which was great. We played some tunes which we haven't played in over 5 years. Thanks to LongIslandMusicScene.com for a great review on their site. We put up a couple tunes from our new studio stuff on the musicpage and check out the videopage to get some clips of the AMB in action.

Let's see, what's new. Our new merchandise is in and we've sold more than 100 shirts already. The stuff is selling like hotcakes baby! The recording is still in progress. It has stalled while we rehearsed for some shows. We played the Mercury Lounge with Liquid Logic and that show was very kick ass and then we played the ACME again. I've made some nice changes to the website and added a bunch of stuff. In a couple weeks we're going on our first psuedo-tour. We're going to NJ, B-more and some other places. It will wrap up with a show at the Village Pub with Nine Days.

We've been in the studio for the past two weeks recording some new material and it's coming out great. Thanks to Lou D for hooking us up with his mics, they rule. In the mean time we're losing some Battle of the Bands shows in Long Island and stuff. We got the pictures back from the Vanderbilt and they came out great. Thanks to Jeremy, Arturo, and Hany for taking some great shots.

This weekend we played a pair of shows. The first was at the C-Note. That place was a lot of fun. We had the chance to drink a few beers and relax. The next night we played at the Vanderbilt with Phantom Planet, The Realistics, Greyscale, & Sacchrin. There were almost 2000(That's no typo) people there and every one of them saw us. We gave out 200 CDs and could have given out 3 times that. And I saw my first ever squaredancing pit. That rules. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us.

The shows are getting better and better. We got a sweet review from hitsesson.com. Check out presspage or their website to read it. We played live on the Tri-State sound last week too. We played Nottingham and Flipcat Baby and they both ruled. I'll have clips up soon.

If you didn't come to the show last night then you really missed out. It was probably our best show yet. We've cut rough tracks for three of our new tunes. If you want to hear a live cut of Down For Whatever then email me and I'll send you the link. We're looking forward to playing Mar 15th at ACME. It's gonna be a huge show for us.

We played last night at the Elbow Room on Bleeker and it was just a little less than great. Jimmy D put a stick thru his snare head and we had a few sound problems but other than that it was a great show. We're all playing well together and Mark is better and better every week. We're starting to write new songs so look out for a new 5 song soon.

1/16/02

First show is over and was the greatest first show ever!!! No Joke. I'll try to put clips of the show on the site but it will take some time. Mark's voice was perfect and the band was virtually flawless. Kick Ass.

1/11/02

The AMB has never sounded so good. We are more than 200% and Mark is singing better than he has in 10 years. We have 4 days until our first show and we're gonna hit the ground running. We just finished a new 5 song and we'll have it ready in a few weeks. We also booked a couple more shows in february.

12/12/01

Mark's surgery went picture perfect and his rehabilitation is also going great. He is at practice and singing. You can hear quickly that his voice will recover completely. Right now his voice is probably around 75% but that's good enough to put some fire under our asses so we booked a couple shows in january. Come and support the AMB.

Well once again there's bad news. Mark has a massive cyst on the right side of his throat completely disabling half of his vocal chords. He went in for laser surgery today to have it removed. We're all a little worried but the doctors say its a routine procedure and if things go as planned, his voice should be better than it has been in 5 years. Apparently this thing has been growing in his throat for that long. We're still practicing but all our shows were cancelled until Mark is ok.

10/4/01

The press kits are done and they rule. You can see the 8x10 on the picspage and read the bio on the biopage. Thanks to our friend Risa who has been helping us out with all that shit. We've started booking shows and you'll be seeing us out soon. We moves into a new studio and it rules. There's a pic of that on the picspage too. You can also hear recording from rehearsals on the musicpage. Things are great so keep an ear to the ground for us. Peace in the Middle East!

The quote of the day is "I rule and that is all you need to know....by the way I am Charlie." Scott thinks he is cool, but he really isn't. Charlie would like to thank himself for being the coolest person he knows. If you want to hear what the Chromest band around has been up to, dig the site for some free music and a picture of the hottest five guys you will ever see in your entire life....I mean, the hottest guy you will ever see in your entire life. I hope you dont mind the other four idiots....

8/17/01

We're kind of down and out, busy putting together our promo material and working on getting a more chromer rehearsal pad. We shot pics for our 8x10s and we've put together the graphics for our press folders. Thanks to Jeremy from Nine Days for helping us out with some of the artwork. The press kits should be ready early next month which means that we should be famous by Halloween.

Here we go. The first installment of the TAMB newspage.
